The Greenway

  • A picturesque 5km route snaking through west Changning to the east of Hongqiao international airport
  • Open year round but times do vary so if you go early or late it might be closed. Summer times are displayed 5.30 to 9.30. Winter times 6.30 to 8.30 but use this for reference only.
  • Beidi Highway bridge offers a good opportunity to get some hill repeats in
  • The shade offered by the trees provides good cover in the hot summer sun
  • Frequent self service drinks machines can replenish a thirsty runners needs
  • Can get quite busy during the day and holidays. Be aware of bikes and runaway children

The route

There are a few entrances to the Greenway. The northern has the most parking available at the moment but there is significant refurbishment being conducted around the Xianxia road Entrance and this would appear to offer underground parking in the future. The northern entrance is located by the end of north Guangshun road while the southern entrance is just off Huanlu road. It is god to run in both directions and even has some small parks and paths to add extra distance and explore.
