- West park offers nearly 100m of elevation gain at a runnable 10% grade
- About 30km outside of the city centre so can be quite a long trip
- Public bathrooms and shops to buy sustenance (expensive)
The route
Take Shanghai Metro Line 9 to Sheshan Station. From there, it’s a 15-minute taxi ride or a 30-minute run northwest along Taoyuan Road to the forest park entrance. Alternatively, take a bus from the station directly to the park. It’s the perfect destination for a long-run adventure out of the city.
